LAKKI MARWAT - A one-month training of the newly recruited cops of special police force started here at the police lines, said an official on Monday.
The official said nearly one hundred cops had been recruited for the special police force and the youth of far-flung and border villages were inducted for the first time.
"At the completion of training the special forces will be deployed in the entire district to maintain peace and protect lives and properties of the people along with regular police force", he added.
He said the new force would also tasked to protect important installations and play their effective role in eradicating crimes and anti-social activities from the district.
Meanwhile, DPO Ismail Kharak paid a visit to the police lines on Monday and inspected the training activity. SDPO Lakki Tahir Shah also accompanied him. Kharak appreciated the new recruits for taking interest in the training activity in this hot weather and fasting month.
He directed the facilitators to equip the personnel of special police force with high morale and modern techniques and skills to combat crimes with community participation. "With effective training the cops will be able to perform their professional obligations in a better Way," he added.
