KHANEWAL- Funeral for the three labourers killed by unidentified terrorists in Balochistan, was offered in their native town Chak 101/15-L tehsil Mian Channu which was attended by a large number of people from all walks of life.

The three labourers were killed near Zero Point between Pasni grids station and Ormara. There was a discernable gloom and sorrows in the town over the tragic killing of the labourers. The three labourers - Mohammad Azhar, Mohammad Zeeshan and Mohammad Ashfaq were busy repairing a power transmission line when they were shot dead near the coastal town of Pasni in Gwadar district on Sunday.

According to police, the deceased were working near the Zero Point between Pasni grid station and Ormara when more than 10 armed men, riding motorcycles, reached the scene and overpowered the security personnel of the Balochistan Constabulary. The assailants also snatched official weapons from the BC personnel. After autopsy and legal proceedings, the dead bodies were sent to their native town 101/15-L Main Channu, Khanewal. All the three deceased were bachelor.

It is to be noted that no representative of the district government and the Police Department or MNA/MPA and prominent politician attended the funeral for the slain labourers. On the other hand, heirs of the deceased have demanded immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the killing.

They also demanded the Prime Minister and the Punjab chief minister to ensure compensation to the bereaved families on humanitarian grounds.
