RAWALPINDI (Online) - Throwing their weight behind the long march of legal fraternity for the restoration of deposed judges, Ex-Servicemen Society an organisation of retired army men have demanded of the President Pervez Musharraf and Co-Chairman Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari to seek apology from the nation by confessing their wrongdoings. 'We would setup our reception camp at Liaquat Bagh on June 13 for participation in the long march if the judges were not reinstated', said Gen (r) Saleem Haider, Gen (r) Salahuddin Trimzi, Gen (r) Jamshed Gulzar Kiyani, Brig (r) Mian Mehmood Ali and others while addressing the joint press conference after meeting here on Saturday. 'We are equal; neither anyone is General nor a Naik in the long march, they said, adding that, only few generals with the support of Supreme Court imposes martial law in the country while rest of the army remained unaware of their steps. They asked President Pervez to step down as Head of Sate as he was elected unconstitutionally. They demanded of the government to setup judicial commission to hold President Musharraf's trial over killing thousand of innocent people including women and children in Waziristan and Lal Masjid as well as over Kargil war. 'We have to save the judiciary and Constitution to save the country', they remarked. 'How could an individual acquitted in the cases regarding looting the national exchequer. Musharraf is a killer and Governor Punjab Sulman Taseer, Federal Defence Minister Ahmed Mukhtar and Maj Gen (r) Qureshi are mouthpiece of President Pervez Musharraf', they alleged. 'We would not use such type of language, that was used by Governor Punjab Sulman Taseer against retired army men', they added. Air Chief and Naval Chief were not taken into confidence by the then Chief of Army Staff before Kargil operation, they maintained. They said that 'Gen (r) Jamshaid Gulzar Kiyani have spoken truth about Kargil operation'. We have no personnel agenda but the reinstatement of deposed judges, added that judicial iniquity against Kargil operation should be held in Pakistan as in India.
