ISLAMABAD - Deputy Commissioner Amer Ali Ahmad Saturday held a meeting with the Islamabad flour dealers and reviewed the flour supply in the city and rural areas. Assistant Commissioners, Magistrates and DFC of Islamabad were also present on the occasion. During the meeting it was informed that sufficient quantity of flour bags was being ensured at the control rate in city and rural areas as per requirement of the local area. Deputy Commissioner Amer Ali Ahmed directed the flour dealers to ensure the sufficient availability of flour bags in all the markets. He also directed Magistrates to visit the markets and ensured availability of food items at the fixed rates in the markets. The Deputy Commissioner said ICT Administration was keeping strict vigilance over the prices of essential commodities and no one would be allowed to indulge in profiteering and hoarding. He warned that artificial price hike would not be tolerated and strict action would be taken against such elements.
