RAWALPINDI - A 12-member delegation and representatives of Advisory Committee of PTCL, under the supervision of senior member of Advisory Committee Abdalla Mohamed Saleh visited the office of Director General (DG), Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) here on Saturday. On the occasion, the delegation met DG RDA Makeen Shehbaz and exchanged views about the ongoing developmental project in the city. They appreciated the services of RDA for the Rawalpindi city. Senior Member Advisory Committee of PTCL, Abdalla Saleh assured the DG that the advisory committee would provide every support to construct women gym in Liaquat Bagh. He hoped that RDA would complete mega development projects like Airport Road, Ring Road and Parking Plaza to control the traffic mess in different areas in stipulated time. He also appreciated the step taken by RDA to install the Urban Transport Control System, which was installed on different intersections of Murree Road to control the traffic. The delegation further said that the committee was ready to make any Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RDA for the betterment and to increase the beauty of the city. The delegation stressed the need of the public-private partnership, which was very important in new era to maintain the actual architecture of the city. The delegation also promised that they would provide ducts to pass the electric cables along the roads like other countries and also provide modern technology, which would be beneficial for the city. The senior Officials, DG RDA Makeen Shahbaz and Abdalla of PTCL exchanged views on the five-year development plan that involves improving the water supply, construction of roads and other developments needs of people living in the Rawalpindi city.
