CCPO for crackdown on drug peddlers

OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ahmad Raza Tahir, who is also Chairman of Lahore Drug Free City Project, has said that practical steps would be taken to eliminate the scourge of narcotics in the City from its roots. According to an official handout issued on Tuesday, the CCPO directed the police to take strict legal steps against drug peddlers during its special crackdown so that Lahore could be transformed into a Drug Free City. He warned that quick eradication of drug dens in the city should be ensured. 2 criminals arrested Investigation Police Lower Mall on Tuesday claimed to have arrested two criminals of Mazhar alias Mazhari dacoit gang involved in the incidents of dacoity, street crimes. The police also recovered $4000, precious wristwatch, one lap top computer, three cell phone as well as illegal weapons from their possession. Meanwhile, Investigation Police Tibbi City have arrested killer identified as Muhammad Asif. involved and recovered killing weapon cash and cell phone from his possession.
