OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE-A petition has been moved before the Lahore Registry of the Supreme Court praying for constituting a judicial commission to probe into killing of Journalist Saleem Shahzad. The petition has been filed by Barrister Zafar Ullah Khan enlisting Federation, Interior Ministry, Law Ministry and Punjab government as respondents. The petitioner submits that the respondents had failed to perform their duties towards protecting life of the citizens as such no body was safe in the country today. He contended that Saleem Shahzad laid down his life for national cause and discharging his journalistic duties but different colours were being to his death through media. The petitioner contended that the journalist community was feeling insecure and perturbed and suspected efforts being made to find out killers of Saleem Shahzad. He prayed to the court that a six member judicial commission may be constituted at the head of Justice (R) Khalil ur Rehman Ramday or any other retired SC Judge to find out the truth and found out who and why Shahzad has been done to death in such brutal manner.
