OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Syed Munawar Hasan has exhorted the opposition parties to make joint struggle for the implementation of the Parliaments resolutions concerning the countrys independence and sovereignty. Addressing a meeting in memory of popular religious scholar Maulana Muhammad Mehrab Chitrali at Mansoora on Tuesday, he said the rulers had sold out Pakistans independence and the opposition parties should hold an APC to decide a line of action for a change of the situation. Syed Munawar Hasan said the parliament had adopted a joint resolution on May 13, stressing for a strategy to stop drone attacks and it was resolved that if the drone attacks continued, the NATO supplies would be stopped. However, he said, there had been over a dozen drone attacks since May 13, but the government had neither lodged protest nor any government strategy for stopping NATO supplies had come to fore. The nation, he said, had come to realize by now that the drone attacks were being made with the governments complicity. Therefore, the opposition parties should devise a joint strategy to ensure the implementation of the parliaments resolutions and the masses should be made to come on roads for this great cause.
