ISLAMABAD - Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani on Friday avoided answering questions during an informal meeting with journalists at the Presidency.

However, replying to a question on the strategy of Pakistan after withdrawal of Nato forces from Afghanistan, the army chief said: “The Afghan issue is not so simple and easy which can be described in three sentences only.

The new federal cabinet has taken oath; the democratic process has moved forward and today is the day of ministers.” He kept on to say that the Pakistan Army had discharged its security duty efficiently and with full responsibility during the general election.
