AIOU students in trouble

ATTOCK  - The students appearing in examinations for different classes through Allma Iqbal Open University (AIOU) have complained that they are facing numerous problems but there is no one to listen to them and resolve their issues.
The question papers are delivered late and answer sheets are taken back before time, they said while talking to The Nation on Friday here at Pilot school Attock.
They said that students of different classes appear in examination at this centre and no separate room/hall is allotted for every class causing a lot of inconvenience.
Question papers are not delivered on time and are taken back before time and as a result they cannot attempt all the questions which will certainly effect their results, they said.
No adequate light is available and no drinking water is served to the candidates.
They also alleged that blue-eyed students are seated in separate rooms to extend them help in solving papers. Students disclosed that some of the candidates have been issued roll number slips by the AIOU authorities having no photograph of the candidate which create suspicion and doubts.
However Regional Director AIOU Attock, when contacted, told The Nation that superintendent and staff are appointed as per the rules and examination centres are being monitored by the authorities/visiting inspectors regularly and transparency is being ensured. No question of favouritism arises, he said.
