LAHORE - A judicial magistrate at Model Town Courts granted permission to a student allegedly involved in harassing and threatening a woman to sit in the exams here on Friday.
Judicial Magistrate Usman Ghani was hearing the case. After hearing the arguments of the petitioner’ s counsel, the magistrate sent the accused on 14-day judicial remand and directed police take him to examination centre from jail so that he could sit in exams. Babar Akram, the accused who was allegedly involved in threatening and harassing a woman namely Shamim BB resident of Garden Town was arrested by police and was produced before the court for his physical remand. At the time of appearance, the petitioner’s counsel argued that he had nothing to do with the allegations leveled against him and was busy in his studies. He said Babar Akram was sitting in the examination centre when police took him in their custody. Some papers had been attempted but now through the fake allegations he was being trapped.
