The Bhikhi Police Sub-Inspector shot two people including a bike-theft accused dead in his private torture cell and three people were gunned down by rivals while another was killed in a road mishap here the other day.

According to details, in Sheikhupura seven people were shot dead while another killed including two sustained injuries  in four different  incidents in Narang Mandi, Sadar Muridke and other police jurisdiction on other day.

Three car riders were shot dead by unidentified assailants on Muridke-Narowal Road near Chak Jay Singh Wala. The deceased including Naeem, Arshad and Asghar, reportedly close relatives, were on the way to Narang from Muridke when near Chak Jay Singh Wala unidentified assailants, lying in ambush, sprayed the car with bullets, killing all of them instantly. The Narang Police suspected that the incident could be result of old enmity.

In village Joianwala in the limit of Muridke Saddr Police, two farmers namely Sarwar Bhatti and his son Nasir Bhatti were shot dead by some unidentified killers. Sarwar and his son were asleep in the courtyard of their house when the assailants, after scaling the boundary wall, entered the house and shot them dead. The police termed the incident result of old enmity.

Similarly in a road accident, a 22-year-old man died while two others sustained injuries on Sargodha Road near Ghazi Minara railway crossing. According to reports, three friends - Zeeshan, Hamis and Ramiz were going to nearby canal on a bike. As they reached near the filling station, a speeding coaster, coming from the opposite direction, rammed into the two wheelers. As a result Zeeshan died on the spot while the two others sustained critical injuries and were shifted to hospital. The Sheikhupura Saddr Police registered a case of the incident.

Meanwhile, the Bhikhi Police Sub-Inspector shot two people dead in his personal torture cell, established outside the city here. According to details, SI Saif Akbar had arrested a suspect namely Abbas, a resident of Mananwala in an alleged motorcycle theft case some four days back.

The SI, without registering an FIR brought him in his private cell and tortured him severely during interrogation. When his condition deteriorated, the SI shot at and killed him and tried to paint the incident as a shootout by his own security guard Riaz who resultantly suffered fatal bullet injuries and died on the way to hospital.

Following death of both the persons, a large numbers of people including member of the bereaved families besieged the City A Division police station and demanded registration of a case against SI Saif Akbar.

Meanwhile, DPO Afzaal Kausar arrived at the police station and assured the protesters that the guilty SI would be arrest very soon.

Later, talking to journalists the DPO said that a case had been registered against SI Saif Akbar, his brother Shamas Akbar, Hamid Pasha, Shabbir Mochi and their other accomplice

Meanwhile, the A Division Police arrested the accused SI.

It is to be noted that the about six murder cases have already been registered against SI Saif Akbar in various police stations including Ferozewala, Factory area and others and he had managed to dodge the law in these cases tactfully.
