Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif reacted on Friday over Supreme Court of Pakistan's (SC) permission to Musharraf for contesting elections despite of the treason charges on him. The court had assured Pervez Musharraf that he would not be arrested if appears before court.
While talking to media persons outside the accountability court, Nawaz Sharif asked, "Where is the law and the Constitution now, where is Article 6 and all the cases (against Musharraf)."
Earlier, the Supreme Court on Thursday had ordered the former Army chief and President to appear before the court.
Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mian Saqib Nisar said, "We will pass an order ensuring authorities do not arrest the former president before his appearance in court."
The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Quaid remarked that everything that was happening in the country is against the law.
He stated, "I am not even getting a three-day exemption to go see my [ailing] wife."
He further said that Musharraf was involved in the murder of Akbar Bugti and the May 12 incident in Karachi.
He added, "Musharraf went against the Constitution on two occasions [yet he was given a conditional guarantee] while I was disqualified [from holding office] for life."
