Sherpao condemns India for HR abuses in IIOJK

Peshawar - A delegation of People’s National Alliance (PNA), an umbrella organisation of the political parties of Jammu and Kashmir, called on Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao at Watan Kor here on Monday.

The PNA delegation was led by its Chairman Zulfiqar Ahmad Advocate. PNA General Secretary Kamran Baig Advocate, spokesman Yasin Anjum, coordination committee member Aslam Watnnof and Sardar Arif Advocate were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Aftab Sherpao said that his party strongly condemned the violations of the human rights in the Occupied Kashmir. He criticised India for stripping the Occupied Kashmir of its special status by revoking Article 370.

Sherpao said the people of Kashmir should be granted right to self-determination in accordance to the resolutions of the United Nations so that they could make a decision about their future.

The QWP leader said that Kashmir issue should be resolved as per the wishes of the people of the valley.

He also asked the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to come up with a clear policy regarding the Kashmir issue. He alleged that the PTI government had placed the Kashmir issue on the backburner and did not raise the issue at international forums.
