KARACHI - The investigators on Saturday submitted the final challan against Munaf Kalia, Javed Khanani and Hanif Kalia before the Special Banking Court of Ghulam Hussain Malla, while the court has adjourned the hearing till March 21. The FIA official told the court that 26 other fake bank accounts of the accused have been discovered from various banks during the investigation, which were used for such purpose and billions of rupees have been transited through those accounts, while they allegedly involved in transiting a total of 295 billion rupees illegally to abroad. The court also issued arrest warrants against eight other absconders involved in the case, the accused were brought to the court, while the court has adjourned the hearing for the next date. Meanwhile, the same court has also adjourned the hearing over the bail plea moved by the said accused till March 14. According to the FIA officials, seven alleged persons have been arrested in this connection. Kidnapping accused remanded ATC of Sindh High Court Judge, Salman Ansari, sent the accused allegedly involved in kidnapping for ransom to the jail custody till March 20. The accused Muhammad Saleem is said to be a gang member of notorious gangster Ghaffar Zikri, one of the main accused of Lyari gang war, was produced before the court. According to the prosecution, the accused Muhammad Saleem along with his four other accomplices namely Shehzad, Zakir, Shahid and one woman Gull Bano, were allegedly involved in kidnapping Rizwan (23), son of Abdul Kareem within the jurisdiction of Kalri police station on February 26, 2009. The accused was arrested from Hawks Bay area within the jurisdiction of Maripur police station by Anti Violence Crime Cell (AVCC) from a hut and recovered Rizwan. The case of the kidnapping was registered on the compliant of Faisal; the elder brother of the abducted man. He had recorded his statement before the police, and said that they owned a curtain shop located in Kharadar area, Lyari. An unknown woman came at their shop on February 2, and asked for his brother Rizwan, who was also on the shop at the time. She told his brother to come with her to her house to install the curtains, while at the time his brother was busy and told her that he would come to her house later when he will be free. Meanwhile, she again made a call to their shop and told his brother to reach her house, while following the telephonic conversation his brother reached to her house located near Crown Cinema within the jurisdiction of Kalri police station, since then he had not returned home. Following the day, she made a phone call and demanded to pay Rs5 million as ransom for his release, and also told to bring the ransom money near Crown Cinema located at Maripur Road. The complainant informed the AVCC police which, after conducting raid, arrested the said accused from Hawks Bay area, while his other accomplices had managed to escape from the scene.
