Police arrest 8 including two 'FIA directors'

ISLAMABAD: Capital police have arrested 8 accused including two impersonators who showed themselves as Deputy Directors of FIA and one proclaimed offender recovering 15 bottles of liquor, two pistols and 12 rounds from their possession. According to details, Munir Hussain Sub Inspector and other police officials of PS Shahzad Town during special checking stopped a car bearing registration No RLA-5788 and a blue revolving light on the vehicle. On query, one of them introduced himself as Deputy Director and the other as lower subordinate of FIA. When they were asked to show their departmental Identity Cards they failed to do so. Smelling some doubts, police took them to the police station and on interrogation, it transpired that Hasnain Haider was a property dealer and the other person was a painter in Lahore. Both the accused were arrested and a case was registered against them. Muhammad Akram Sub Inspector of PS Margalla arrested accuse Muhammad Nadeem, a proclaimed offender in a case of PS Margalla Town. Muhammad Mursaleen ASI of PS Golra has arrested accused Naeem Masih and recovered 12 liquor bottles from his possession. Ghulam Jalani ASI of PS secretariat has arrested accused namely Asim Shafique and Himayun Hussnain and recovered 3 liquor bottles from his possession. Inspector Muhammad Husssain Lassi SHO PS Industrial Area arrested accused Muhammad Ali and recovered 9 MM pistol along with 07 rounds. Muhammad Mumtaz ASI of PS Sabzi Mandi arrested accused Ehsan Ullaha and recovered a 30-bore pistol along with 5 rounds from his possession. Cases have been registered against the accused and further investigation is under way.
