KARACHI - Centre of Excellence for Womens Studies Karachi University (KU) is organising a one-day seminar titled Towards Self Reliance: The role of self-employed women of Pakistan at the auspicious occasion of the International Womens Day on Monday (today) at KU auditorium. The KU Professor, Dr Shahana Urooj Kazmi, acting Vice Chancellor KU, will preside over the seminar whereas provincial IT Minister Raza Haroon will be the chief guest. Adviser to CM Sindh, Khwaja Izhar-ul-Hasan and former Deputy City Nazim Nasreen Jalil will be the guest of honour. During the a comprehensive and detailed directory/ journal comprising the complete details of the working women of 18 towns of the City would also be inaugurated, the organiser of the seminar and director Centre of Excellence for women of KU Professor Dr Nasreen Aslam Shah told The Nation on Sunday.
