JI for education revolution


LAHORE – Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Liaqat Baloch has said that the JI would revolutionise education in the country with a synthesis of religious and modern teachings besides ensuring education for all within five years. Addressing the newly elected office bearers of the Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba at a dinner, he said that the JI election manifesto promised a uniform education system with Urdu as the medium of instruction along with promotion of provincial and regional languages. -Reporter
Matriculation education would be made compulsory with special emphasis on technical education. The teaching of the holy Quran and the Hadith would also be made compulsory for all students whereas the religious Madrassahs would impart education of English, Mathematics and other modern subjects, he added.
Liaqat Baloch said that youth were the best asset of a nation but they were in disarray and disappointed due to the prevailing conditions. The students, he said, had always acted as the vanguard for change.
