LAHORE – The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has enhanced the prize money of the KPT National Football Challenge Cup in a special meeting called by Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat here at the FIFA Football House.

The prize money for the event has been increased from Rs 150,000 to Rs 300,000 for winning team, runner-up from Rs 100,000 to 200,000, third position holder from 75000 to 100,000, fair play from 20,000 to 30,000, best goalkeeper from 10,000 to 20,000, best player of the challenge cup from 10,000 to 25,000 and maximum goal scorer from 10,000 to 20,000. The federation also introduced the best referee award of Rs 20,000 and the best assistant referee of 10,000.

The announcement by the PFF president has been welcomed whole heartedly by the participating teams and football lovers all over the country. They feel that the increased prize money and incentives would be beneficial for the promotion of the game of football in Pakistan.
