RAWALPINDI - First Safari National Women Squash championship 2012 roll in to action on Wednesday at Safari Villas Face-I Squash Court.

As many as 16 top ranking girls are competing in the event. On the opening day 8 matches were played with top seed Maria Toor was also in action.

Air Vice-Marshal Razi Nawab, Senior Vice President Pakistan Squash Federation was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony. In the first match of the day Amna Latif beat Monisa Nasir, 11/6, 11/2 and 11/2, Noor Fatima beat Aroma Kamran 11/8, 11/0 and 11/6, Aliya Sarfraz beat Fatima Muneer 11/1, 11/1 and 11/2, Riffat Khan beat Haleema Nadeem 11/3, 11/0 and 11/2, Rukhsana Mahboob beat Sana Ghayas 11/0, 11/0 and 11/1, Saima Shoukat beat Rooma Yousaf 11/3, 11/0 and 11/0, Mehwish Hanif beat Anum Mustafa 11/7, 11/4 and 11/3 and in the last match of the day top seed Maria Toor beat Aman Mehboob 11/2, 11/2 and 11/0.
