LAHORE - Former MPA from Bahawalnagar Syed Nazar Mahmood Shah and PML-Likeminded General Secretary Syed Qilandar Ali Shah on Thursday join the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
On the occasion, PTI Vice Chairman Shah MahmoodQureshi welcomed both the leaders and assured them of all out cooperation. He said those doing conspiracies against their party would be disappointed and more big names would join Imran Khan soon and would be his team members in the upcoming general elections.
Qureshi said the country was facing worse situation and it was only because of the inefficiency and wrongdoings of the incumbent rulers. He said people have to take decision in next general elections in the larger interest of the country by voting to the party which could change their destiny.
He said it was high time to put the country on the right track and ensure accountability of those who looted the national exchequer. He said that different ways were adopted to misuse the funds and flop projects had been initiated in Punjab.
Meanwhile, in a statement, PTI Secretary Information Shafqat Mahmood said his party was approached by the JI to seek opinion on the three names put forward by PML N for caretaker prime minister.
“The party feels that propriety demanded that it should have been directly consulted by the PML-N, but it was not. The PML-N consulted all major parties inside and outside parliament to evolve a consensus on the name of the caretaker Prime Minister.” However, Shafqat said, the same was not done with PTI, even though the party had indicated that it would be ready to be consulted formally by PML N.
Commenting on the names conveyed to PTI by JI, Shafqat Mahmood said that Justice (r) Nasir Aslam Zahid, Justice (r) Shakirullah Jan and Rasul Bakhsh Paleejo were eminent people and qualified to assume the challenging mantle of caretaker prime minister.
They all have a clean record and have distinguished themselves in public service. All three men are of high integrity and PTI has no doubt that they will be able to discharge his duties without fear or favour, he said.
Also, the PTI launched a political Web TV site in order to facilitate its workers for getting them informed about the party’s activity by using social media.
According to details, PTI Karachi division has launched a political Web TV site which would help its workers all over the world to get updated about the party’s activities.
