LAHORE – Taking notice of report on poor performance of police in eight crime cases, Lahore High Court Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial on Thursday sought reports from district and sessions judges concerned in a week.

In an application addressed to CJ, it was submitted that two sisters Rimsha,7, and Humera,8, were kidnapped 15 months ago and a case was registered with Shujabad police in Multan but they failed to find whereabouts of the missing tots. The CJ directed a sessions judge of Multan to look into the matter and submit detailed report.

Similarly, the CJ also took notice of four rape cases reported in newspapers in districts of Pakpattan, Muridke and Gujranwala.

Sexual harassment of minor boys in Lahore, murder of a eunuch at Okara and kidnapping of a woman at Gujranwala also caught attention of the CJ who sought detailed reports from the sessions judges of respective districts within a week.
