PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Engineer Shaukatullah, has said that peace is the foremost requirement to ensure early solution of problems, accelerate pace of development and make better output of the steps underway for resolution of the grievances of the people of FATA.

Talking to a representative jirga from Mohmand Agency which called on him under the leadership of MNA, Haji Bilal-ur-Rehman at Governor’s House, Peshawar on Thursday, the Governor highly welcomed the response of the people of FATA towards the efforts which he is making for bringing stability and consolidate the measures for maintaining law and order. Political Agent of the Agency, Ambar Ali Khan, was also present on this occasion.

Responding to the points raised by the members of the delegation, the Governor said, in fact, the nature of difficulties which the people of the entire FATA are faced with carry similarities to a great extent and it is his utmost effort maintain complete liaison with them and seek solution thereof, taking along them. He, however, pointed out that the survey of damages caused to houses in the agency has almost been completed and efforts will be expedited to help the affected in their proper rehabilitation. 

Referring to the demands for construction of a dam at Ambar; provision of additional feeder for augmentation of electrification system in Parrang Ghar; construction of link road. The Governor assured to take necessary steps for materialization of their demands within the shortest possible time.

Meanwhile, the Governor while taking serious note of the complaints lodged by the Internally Dislocated Persons from the Bara Tehsil of Khyber as well as the Mohmand and Bajaur agencies; presently housed in the Jalozai Camp in district Nowshera, has said that he is already seriously engaged in the efforts not only to resolve their grievances and ease life to some extent but also to ensure amicable situation in the respective areas wherein they return to their homes in an honourable way.
