ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e- Sadr on Thursday and exchanged views on the current situation.

Sources said the prime minister briefed the President about the legislative agenda the Pakistan Peoples Party-led ruling coalition wanted to dispose of during last session of the National Assembly.

Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf also took the President on board about the efforts to install a neutral and independent caretaker government shortly after dissolution of the National Assembly.

Accoording to a private TV channel, Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani also called on Presideent Zardari at Aiwan-i-Sadr.
