WASHINGTON - The United States on Thursday said that Washington will have reservations over the finalisation of a deal between Pakistan and Iran on gas pipeline project, reported a private TV channel.
During a routine news briefing at the State Department, spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said that the gas project between Pakistan and Iran was the violation of United Nations sanctions on Iran over its nuclear programme. The spokeswoman further said that the US was trying to solve the energy needs of Pakistan, adding that a project to enhance capacity of Tarbela dam was under way.
