Girja Road is the key road connecting Sadder Rawalpindi to Motorway and the new airport in Islamabad. It is also one of the busiest roads in Rawalpindi. This road has not been repaired for almost two decades and is in a really bad condition. A few unnecessary speed breakers have been constructed without permission from NHA. People are distressed by this daily problem and suffer, especially during rush hours. Many complaints have been logged with the concerned authorities but nothing has been done to address them. It seems as if the Rawalpindi administration is sleeping and not interested in resolving these issues. I would like to request Rawalpindi Highway Authorities and its administration to at least stop heavy traffic from using this road and remove the speed breakers which are causing huge problems if they cannot come up with a better plan to make this road more travel worthy.

HASSAN RAZA ASLAM,
