Every individuals of society should play due role to prevent dengue breeding and its outbreak.
Kasur DCO Salman Ghani chaired a meeting to examine weekly performance of different departments here Monday. Duirng the meeting, he issued a warning notice to DO Agriculture, DO Wildlife, the Tehsil Municipal Officer Kasur, and Chunian market committee secretary over their failure to turn up in the meeting.
Salman Ghani said that luckily there is no case of dengue reported in the district so far. However, the DCO confirmed that as per the directives of the Health Ministry, dengue counters and isolation wards have been established in every hospital of the district. He informed that 187 ponds have been inspected so far and “very soon we will add fishes in the ponds.”
On the occasion, the district entomologist briefed that under their training sessions, they have trained number of paramedical staff, school headmasters and headmistress, lady health workers, and UC councillors. They briefed the DCO about the operations made by the District Emergency Responding Committee, adding that until now 578 in-doors and 113 out-doors surveillance teams have been established across the district. Salman Ghani said that the departments should take preemptive measures to prevent dengue spread. “Dengue season is near, slackness on part of the departments would not be tolerated,” he warned.
