Two cops detained for taking APC snaps, freed

Rawalpindi - The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) yesterday detained two cops briefly on charges of clicking snaps of an armoured personnel carrier (APC) that brought Maulana Aurangzeb Farooqi, a leader of a religious outfit, at anti-terrorism court for trial, informed sources.
However, the cops who were in civvies were released after investigation by CTD, they said.
According to sources, two cops namely Irfan Zafar and Muhammad Sajid were taking pictures of an APC with mobile phones in premises of Anti Terrorism Court number 2 when CTD held them.
The police brought Maulana Aurangzeb Farooqi to court from jail in the APC. Later, both the cops were set free, sources said.
