DUBAI (APP) - The annual general meeting of Asian Confederation of Billiards Sports (ACBS) will be held here on Thursday to finalise the venues for the next two competition. Secretary of ACBS Syed Mehboob said that Iran is interested in hosting next years 25th Asian championship while no country has bided for 2009 Asian Under-21 Snooker Champion. He said this is also an election year and as no body has filed the nomination papers the previous body would be re-elected and official announcement in this regard will be made after the AGM. Sindhu Pulsirivong of Thailand, who is the chief of ACBS, will preside over the meeting. Asghar Valika will be attending the meeting as the Vice President of ACBS while Abdul Wahid Qadir will be Pakistan delegate at the AF AGM. Delegates representing Afghanistan, Bahrain, China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Korea, Kuwait, Myanmar, Malaysia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Syria, Qatar, Vietnam, Thailand and host United Arab Emirates would be attending the meeting.
