Comeback won't be easy for Pakistan

ISLAMABAD Pakistan suffered another defeat in the ongoing World Twenty20 against England in their opening fixture of the Super Eight stage. Greenshirts performance was poor in all departments of the game. Also, skipper Shahid Afridi failed to take good decisions during the fielding. However, after this defeat, Pakistan have little chances of reaching the semi-final. With the same performance, they cannot overcome New Zealand and South Africa in the coming matches. Players have performed poorly in all the three areas which shows that their coaches are also doing nothing. Before the event, Afridi looked active but he could not lead the team well. He did another new experiment in the vital contest by giving new ball to Abdul Razzaq. His decisions were not inspiring. His poor captaincy and ridiculous fielding by some of the players cost the team dearly. The confidence of the green shirts looked shaken and they seemed under pressure even before entering the ground. The players should learn form other teams who are fighting well in the world event. Pakistan fielder dropped five easy chances and the team played as if it was a college team. Also, Kamran Akmal missed an easy run out chance at the last stage of the match. With the same performance, it will not be easy to overcome New Zealand and South Africa in the next competitions. Pakistan team management have to rethink their strategy. There is a need to make some changes in the team to get good results. Pakistan have a good spinner on the bench in Abdul Rehman. He should be given chance in the next matches. Fawad Alam should be asked to take rest because he could not deliver well in the tournament so far. In short, all the boys have to work hard to bounce back in matches.
