LAHORE - More than 40 students from GCU staged a protest demonstration against the management of Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) for not issuing them roll number slips as per directives of Lahore High Court. The charged students chanted slogans against management of BISE and demanded issuance of their slips. Sources informed that GCU had stopped the admission of 88 students out of whom 37 filed a writ petition in Lahore High Court. The court ordered BISE to issue roll number slips to the aggrieved students but BISE management was of the view that the slips would be issued to only those students who were in the petition. Rest of the 41 students were of the opinion that their grievances were same like those who were in the petition. Sources in GCU said on Friday that BISE management has not issued slips to the students so far. Parents of the students blamed chairman BISE that he was trying to make the management of GCU please by stopping admission of the students.
