ISLAMABAD President Pakistan Peoples Party (Sherpao) Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao on Monday urged the federal ministers to avoid giving different statements to media regarding the incident of Time Square bomb plot. Talking on a point of order in the National Assembly, Sherpao said that the ministers should avoid different statements as these may create further problems for the country. The recent statement of Foreign Minister saying the Time Square bomb attempt a reaction of the drone attacks, will result in building up more pressure on Pakistan from US, Sherpao said. He added that the Foreign Minister might not have given this statement in this context but no clarification or denial has yet been made by the Foreign Ministry. Aftab Sherpao further suggested the Prime Minister to appoint a spokesman only for dealing such issues. PPP legislator from FATA Akhuanzada Chittan on a point of order alleged that the people living in border areas of Afghanistan were giving dollars to Pakistani people living in FATA and other Agencies, who were later making groups. He requested the government and intelligence agencies to take action against these elements. Talking about the corruption in FATA, he said that the government has given 70 billion rupees to FATA but not a single penny was invested or utilised for the welfare or development of the area. He urged the Speaker National Assembly to constitute a committee to probe into the alleged misappropriations funds in FATA. On a point of order, MNA from PML-Q Ameer Muqam alleged that the Balochistan government is politically victimising Yaar Mohammad Rind and has launched FIRs against him. He urged the Prime Minister to intervene into the matter. He further told the House that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has taken back his security while his and his familys lives were in danger due to their positive role against terrorism in the area. He warned that the people who directed IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to take back the security from him would be responsible for any incident. He alleged that the provincial government was taking revenge for his stand against renaming of NWFP. Meanwhile, responding to Ameer Muqam, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said that he would advise the Interior Ministry to contact provincial government for providing proper security to the MNA.
