Johnny Depp has revealed that he suffered a painful injury during the filming of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. The actor, who returns for the series fourth installment later this month alongside new female lead Penelope Cruz, confessed that an injury almost delayed production on the film. I must have done something to my back during a stunt and ended up with this bad sciatic situation, he told The Hollywood Reporter. It was this horrible, grinding electricity going through me. However, the actor explained that due to the films hectic shooting schedule, he was forced to find a way to work through the injury. I kept shooting, there was no choice, Depp continued. Id just limp on set. It was monstrous, man - so horrible that I actually started to like it But I got used to it and kind of missed it when it was gone. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is due out in the US on May 20 and in the UK on May 18. DS
