ISLAMABAD  - Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazl) Chief, Maulana Fazlur Rahman, on Tuesday strongly condemned the bomb attack on JUI-F candidate in Hangu and expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives.

“I pray for the departed souls and wish early recovery of the injured,” he said in a statement issued from his office.

Fazl said that these incidents show the failure of the government and security institutions to protect corner meetings. He said such incidents are aimed at shacking and derailing country’s political system but JUI-F will not be deterred by such incidents. “The JUI-F is determined to continue with its policy of peace and reconciliation in FATA and the rest of Pakistan to end terrorism,” he added.

Fazl said that it is JUI-F’s strong resolve to participate in elections and get a new mandate from the people of Pakistan on May 11 to implement JUI-F’s serious strategy for bringing peace.

Meanwhile, JUI-F Spokesman Jan Achakzai has expressed his regret over the Taliban’s claim of accepting responsibility for attack on Munir Orakzai, JUI-F Candidate in Orakzai Agency, the other day.

In a statement, he said that in fact targeting Orakzai is against Islamic principles. “Even if a Kafir (infidel) embraces Islam, his all sins are washed and according to Shariah he is not punished for his bad deeds in the past.”
