PCB to implement its constitution in GB meeting

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) governing board will be meeting here today (Wednesday) to sketch the plan to implement the board’s constitution while awarding new central contracts to the players will be another agenda of the meeting to be headed by its chairman Chaudhry M Zaka Ashraf.
The sources told The Nation that the PCB chief was eager for the implementation of the new ‘constitution’ as he would be the first chairman likely to be elected unopposed. "Another important agenda of the meeting will be the pay raise of contracted players. The senior players have demanded the raise in their monthly salaries as they were barred to appear in the BPL,” the source said. A senior official of the PCB also disclosed that the PCB was also considering to stop providing the stipends to the youngsters.
"The PCB used to give stipends to the emerging players but now this exercise will be stopped for some time.”
