KARACHI  - Putting its weight in support of Jamaat-e-Islami’s candidate Naimatullah Khan, PML-F’s candidate Kamran Tessori has announced withdrawing from election on NA-250 Defence/Clifton seat of national assembly of Karachi.

The NA-250 constituency comprised of posh areas of Defence and Clifton areas where MQM’s Khubakht Shujaat, Jamaaat-e-Islami’s nominee and former city nazim Naimatullah Khan, PPP’s Rashid Rabbani, PTI’s Arif Alvi and PML-F’s Kamran Tessori and others are contesting election.

However, after contacts between senior leadership of both the parties, PML-F chief Pir Pagara directed his party’s candidate Kamran Tessori to withdraw in support of Jamaat-e-Islami’s Naimatullah Khan on NA-250. In return, the JI has extended their support to the PML-F’s Sardar Rahim on PS-113 and PS-114.

After withdrawal of PML-F’s candidates, the position of Jamaat-e-Islami’s candidate has further strengthened against his rival candidate MQM’s Khushbakht Shujaat on NA-250.
