WARBURTON - The District Health Department in collaboration with Global TB Fund organised a workshop aimed to spread awareness against tuberculosis (TB) control.
The workshop was held at Govt Model High School here the other day.  On the occasion, Social Mobiliser Samina Amjad explained the causes, symptoms and treatment of TB disease.
She said that TB was not incurable disease. People should avoid spitting, coughing and sneezing with open mouth because TB bacteria could only transmit in open atmosphere, she added.
Social mobeliser Azmatur Rehman stressed to love TB patient. 'TB can't spread with mutual contact, eating, sitting and living with TB patient,' he added.
Iqbal Arif Sandrana, Muhammad Aslam Jatt, Muhammad Ashraf Staff Secretary and Muhammad Ansar promised to work for TB awareness among people.
On the occasion, Javed Ashraf Shooka thanked the Global TB Fund and the District Health Department for organising such an informative session at school.
