This is reference to Younas Khan’s brilliant performance in Test series against Australia. Had it been for PCB and its politicized Selection Committee, Younas Khan would never have been selected as it was public pressure which finally forced the PCB’ hand. The Selection Committee should have no place for men with controversies, conflicts of interest and any bias whatsoever. Lack of discipline within PCB hierarchy and their tolerance for indiscipline has brought Pakistan Cricket into disrepute. Chief Selector and members of this committee should hold no dual offices and under no circumstances be allowed to accompany our team on foreign tours, especially when domestic cricket season is in full swing.

The ‘Match Fixing Scandal’ which took place on controversial tour to England could have been avoided had the ‘Team Management’ and choice of Manager and Assistant Manager been made on merit with due regard to professional discipline and ethics of those given the task to manage affairs on foreign tours. There should be ‘Zero Tolerance’ for former players, tainted with corruption to hold assignments in PCB, except on contract for specific short term coaching assignments but never be allowed to accompany team in any capacity on foreign tours, given the fact that ICC in case of Pakistan has adopted a hostile attitude.
