RAHIM YAR KHAN – Pakistan Steel Mills kept their hold on National Touch Ball title once again as they won 11th National Touch Ball Championship concluded here at Abbasia Sports Complex yesterday. It was the eighth consecutive title for the Steel Mills. Pakistan Steel Milles defeated Pakistan Railways in the final after a tough contest by scoring 2 points in first half. For the third position Khyber Pakhtunkhawa defeated Balochistan 2-0. Some players of winning team told this correspondent that administrative organisers of the event District Sports Officer with some other officers stopped the final match during second half to give the protocol to chief guest DCO Rahim Yar Khan which was a violation of sports code of ethics. They further told that after a group photo, the prize distribution ceremony was also arranged before the match was concluded. The remaining part of the match was played after the departure of chief guest. However District Sports Officer and Secretary Touch Ball Association Punjab denied these allegations. They told that prize distribution was arranged during the break of the match.
