President Sardar Masood Khan has strongly condemned the unprovoked Indian shelling. He said that the Indian forces were escalating tension on LoC only to detract the world’s attention from the human rights violations in Indian-held Kashmir (IHK).

According to Inter Service Public Relations of Pakistan Army (ISPR), a Pakistani soldier was killed by Indian forces in yet another ceasefire violation at LoC in Azad Jammu and Kashmir's Bhimber district, prompting Pakistani troops to retaliate.

As per reports, Sepoy Zaheer Ahmed embraced martyrdom in Thub sector of the Line of Control (LoC) due to unprovoked Indian firing. ISPR press release said, the martyred soldier belongs to village Sultan Pur.

While paying tributes to the martyred Pakistani soldier, they said that it is extremely unfortunate that Indian forces were continuously violating ceasefire agreement at LoC.

The president said that Indian acts at LoC cannot dampen the spirit of Kashmiri people for the freedom of their motherland from Indian occupation.

AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan also strongly condemned the Indian firing and said people of AJK feel proud of the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan army in defending the territory against the onslaught by India.
