Senior Punjab Minister Abdul Aleem Khan has said that the vision of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan will be evident in the 100 days’ plan for Punjab and 16 main departments of the province have already begun effectively planning for the smooth running of the institutions of the province.
While presiding over a special meeting on PM reforms team and Punjab special monitoring unit, in which pace of work was reviewed on work done so far, Aleem Khan said that the Punjab and federal governments have close liaison for implementation on the directions given by the PM.
He further said that the monitoring unit should review the progress of 70 days work done in different fields. “Revolutionary steps are being taken to come up to the expectations of the masses and we would not only cut the tape but will also work practically in the field,” he said.
He also said that concrete steps are being taken in health, education, agriculture, livestock, tourism, forests, industries, housing and clean drinking water sectors, where targets have been fixed for the upcoming five years.
Aleem Khan said that unfortunately, corruption is deeply rooted in all the departments and the government would have to work for a change of system while living in the same system which is indeed a difficult task.
The minister called upon the government officers and officials to change themselves and come out of the traditional style and work for the change in their department with new vision as they will be given full support and security, as well.
