Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday said that the government wanted to run the parliament jointly with the opposition, but the opposition wanted to ruin the environment of the House.
He said this while presiding over a parliamentary party meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). During the meeting, the prime minister informed the parliamentary party members about the government’s policies.
Addressing the meeting, PM Imran said that the government excellently controlled the law and order situation, adding that he would have to immediately return from China, if the government hadn’t succeeded in defusing the protests.
“No one could have imagined the way we have tackled the protests,” he added. The premier went on to say that we wanted to run the parliament jointly with the opposition but the opposition wanted to ruin the environment of the House.
