LAHORE - Anti-terrorism court on Friday granted bail to Qari Ibrahim an accused of attacking Sri Lankan Cricket team. The court also directed the accused to submit surety bonds of Rs 100,000 along with a personal surety. CIA police had arrested Ubaid Ullah alias Zubair, Aman Ullah alias Asad Ullah, Abdul Wahab alias Umer and Zubair alias Naik Muhammad, Qari Ibrahim and others for their alleged involvement in attack on the Sri Lankan Cricket team. During this attack six Sri Lankan players including Captain Mahela Jayawaredene, his deputy Kumar Sangakkara, Ajantha Mendis, Thilan Samaraweera, Tharanga Paranavitana and Chaminda Vaas had sustained injuries and six escorting policemen were also killed in the attack. Police investigation report said that terror suspects had planned to take the cricket team at hostage to get their arrested commanders of TTP released.
