KARACHI  – Finance Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that Sindh Board of Investment is the primary Investment Promotion Agency of the province. He said that the SBI strives to find new avenues for public private collaboration, develop industrial opportunities for large, medium and small investors and facilitate investment projects. He further said that Special Economic Zone Act has also made SBI as the primary agency to monitor, facilitate and regulate all the special economic zones in Sindh. On the occasion Chairman SBI Zubair Motiwala informed the details of MoU and said that in this regard, the government of Sindh has earmarked 250 acres of land in Dhabejl near Port Qasim Industrial Area, only 50 Kilometer from Karachi Airport. It is an ideal destination for businesses relocating from Japan, he added. Chairman DTS Group, Dr. Hironao Takahashi has said that DTS Inc is engaged in leading the development of cutting-edge technologies and has proven record of successful implementation nationally and internationally right from the beginning. He said that DTS Group had proved itself in the field of IT, Data Storage, Industrial Sector and Consultancy.   He informed that DTS group of companies invested 10 million US Dollars in Pakistan in area of IT, DTS Group construct DTS IT PARK situated in Karachi over 10 Acres of land. He said that DTS IT PARK consists of over 500 seats, which include Call Center, Software Development and place for manufacturing purpose. He said that in Japan some of the major players in Financial and Industrial Sector are the stake holders of DTS Japan. On this occasion, Director General SBI Muhammad Riazuddin said that according to MoU both parties are willing to support each other for the successful implementation of the project. The responsibilities of SBI is to undertake the development of the project and establish dedicated Special Economic Zones as per the provisions of SEZ Act, 2012, he said. Director DTS Inc Pakistan Irfan Siddiqui informed the media about the role of DTS Inc in execution of JEZ project and said that DTS Japan will establish Japan Special Economic Zone at the proposed land of 250 Acres area, under strict adherence to the requirements of the Developer of SEZ as given in SEZ Act 2012. He said that the DTS Group will bring small and medium size industries from Japan to Pakistan in Japan Special Economic Zone through its access and efforts. He said that the DTS Japan will move Projects related to IT, Automobile Sector, Home Electronic Appliances and Mechanical Engineering works into Japan Special Economic Zone. DTS Japan will promote Japan Industrial Zone in Japan through holding seminars and presentation regarding this project, he added. He said the DTS Japan will convince investors to invest in Japan SEZ and DTS group wiII also arrange seminars and presentations in TOKYO Chamber of Commerce, Jbaraki Chamber of Commerce and Osaka Chamber of Commerce and other organizations to help investors understand the vision and planning of the viability of doing this project. On behalf of Governor of Sindh, Muhammad Riazuddin Director General Sindh Board of Investment and on behalf of DTS Inc. Japan Dr. Hironao Takahashi, President, DTS Inc signed the MoU.
