The government is going to launch an amnesty scheme to legalise untaxed money, not fair to call it black money, because some legal money is not supported by documents. This is an excellent scheme to bring but besides this there should be another scheme, ‘no-question-asked’ scheme for investment in projects of national interest such as construction of roads and bridges, installation of industry in rural areas based on local mineral resources; power generation based on local natural resources; state-of-the-art public transport system; state-of-the-art health and education systems beyond at least 250 km from any nearest big city.
These projects will boost employment, prosperity, economic progress, public facilities, revenue and goodwill for the government. Furthermore, it will attract money back in the country which was transferred abroad. So, incentives are the best options under the present circumstances.
