ISLAMABAD - KPK Boxing Association (KPKBA) chairman Abdul Jalil Mirza on Monday passed away due to heart failure in Peshawar. Jalil remained associated with boxing for more than 25 years and held the responsibilities of secretary, senior vice president and chairman of KPK Boxing Association. Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) secretary M Akram Khan, Ali Akbar Shah and referee expressed their griefs over the sudden death of Jalil. Talking to this scribe, Akram said: “I am deeply shocked with this sad news. Jalil had worked devotedly for the promotion of boxing especially in KPK. He remained associated with the federation and had detailed conversations regarding improving the structure of boxing in the country. It is not only a great loss to KP boxing but also a great set back to the PBF. –Staff Reporter
