The sun bathes the water beneath the magnificent Rialto Bridge with golden light – a sight that makes you hungry to sample the delights of Venice.
And this scene really is good enough to eat… because it’s made out of pasta and biscuits.
The image by food landscapes photographer Carl Warner will appear alongside butter sculptures and a sugar cube mosaic at next month’s Experimental Food Society Spectacular.
Visitors will be able to get their portrait painted on a piece of toast by artist Dermot Flynn during the event at east London’s old Truman Brewery on November 8 and 9.
Cocktail fans will have the chance to add historical character to their drinks by buying bitters made with moisture from Winston Churchill’s War Rooms.
