Islamabad - True to the spirit of the United Nations, Metropolitan Roots Youth Model United Nations (RYMUN) strives to foster a constructive forum for open dialogue on complex global issues.

The 8th Metropolitan RYMUN endeavours to provide every delegate with a dynamic and enriching opportunity, says a press release issued here yesterday. The Metropolitan RYMUN is pledged to expand United Nations education through the Model United Nations framework. Through our revamped procedure, unique and novel committees, emphasis on learning and Chair training, RYMUN strives to reaffirm our commitment to education and leadership. It is this passion that makes Metropolitan RYMUN one of the premier youth oriented simulations in the region.

Education is at the heart of Metropolitan RYMUN backed with the mission of Learn Today, Lead Tomorrow! We strive to create an amusing, educational, and dynamic committee experience for all delegates regardless of skill level. Our chairs are carefully selected based on their commitment to learning and their passion for the topics of each committee

Metropolitan RYMUN was shaped to fill a need in the Model United Nations community; that is, to provide one of its kind and the biggest oratory arena to future diplomats for honing their negotiation and diplomacy skills.

Built upon a decade long experience of simulation of the League of Nations, Metropolitan RYMUN, the largest youth conference in Pakistan is the product of years of gradual refinement. While Metropolitan RYMUN has expanded considerably including nations abroad, we are fully committed to bringing the prestigious and superb experience you have come to know and expect at RYMUN.

During the conference, the delegates learnt the importance of balancing national interests with the needs of the international community, while also learning about the powers and limitations of international negotiation. Keeping its promise, Metropolitan RYMUN 2016 featured innovative committee simulations, cutting-edge technology, and, of course, enthralling entertainment for delegates outside of committee. The Metropolitan RYMUN is all about diplomacy, diversity and quality. The delegates had the opportunity to meet and interact with more than 1,000 high school and university students representing more than 400 different higher educational institutions. The RYMUN positively affects the lives of participants and prepare them to be better global citizens through quality educational experiences that emphasize collaboration and cooperative resolution of conflict. At RYMUN, we envision a world comprised of civically engaged people who strive for peaceful, multi-lateral conflict resolution and equitable, sustainable human development, in-depth examination and resolution of substantive issues.
