The repulsive and barbaric act of burying five women alive in Balochistan is making me remember the rightful suo-moto actions of deposed Chief Justice of Supreme Court Mr Iftikhar Chaudhry who tried his utmost, after being made to functional by the historical verdict of supreme judicial council on 20th July 2007, to dispense speedy and timely justice to the ordinary helpless Pakistanis. I am sure the murderers of these five blameless, ill-fated women, as well as the unscrupulous police officers who covered up this crime, would have certainly been dealt in accordance with law had the sacked Chief Justice been reinstated as per accords between the two largest political parties of the country. -M.
