Rail officials asked to make recoveries from defaulters

LAHORE - Ministry of Railways has shown serious concern over departments outstanding amount worth over Rs 1.25 billion from various government and non-government defaulter departments and urged the GM Railways, three Addl GMs and F&CAOs to take measures in ensuring immediate recoveries that have been stagnating for last 30 years. A letter from Member Finance, Ministry of Railways, to GM Operation, AGM Manufacturing, AGM Development and F&CAO Lahore Headquarters, Lahore Division emphasized officials concerned to expedite recovery process and also meet with heads of defaulter departments in this regard. It is to be noted that PR could receive only Rs 53 million from defaulters within a period of last six months.
